About Me

A short summary

Hi, my name is Matt Bicknese and I'm an artist from the crazy state of Florida, now transitioning to the slightly less crazy Nevada! I'm primarily an animator and cartoonist (working in Toon Boom and Adobe Animate), but also dabble quite a bit in the world of graphic art, illustration, video editing, and even a bit of 3D modeling. On the more technical side I do a little coding (having built the website you see here) and am a master control operator by day, so I know my way around broadcast equipment (though I won't be flaunting that on this website).

Since graduating with my art BA, my professional experience in the art world has been based in freelance work. This includes animated shorts for popular YouTubers, music videos for bands, animated promotions for breweries, and even Instagram's AR technology to promote special events and offers. I'm most influenced by the golden age of animation, and am willing to work tirelessly to keep that smooth, hand-drawn aesthetic alive.
